Great ideas like letting volutneers see the results and utlizing an individuals specific skills can help to gain and retain volunteers in your organization.
- CBA Community Resource Center Partners with Lumity - This feature article highlighted CTC Connect, a Lumity-powered pilot program that brings digital know-how to areas across the City of Chicago that are in need of computer technology and computer technology education. Lumity is a Chicago nonprofit that helps other Illinois nonprofits. One of our core offerings is providing nonprofit technology consulting, nonprofit finance help, and nonprofit accounting support services to organizations that need outside support. We also offer nonprofit training and nonprofit courses to Chicago area nonprofits.
In addition, we have actively developed and cultivated a number of special initiatives that help nonprofits to make the connections that they need to be successful. This includes NPO.net, one of the largest nonprofit job boards in the country. It includes CTC Connect, an initiative that helps local community technology centers (CTCs) to be more productive and more sustainable. Finally, it includes the Community Corps - Chicago portal, a volunteer matching site connects talented volunteers to nonprofits that need support.
