2007: Richard Kurtz Jr. joins Lumity as its executive director. Lumity honors outgoing executive director Deborah Strauss for her 23 years of service to the nonprofit community.
2007: Recognizing the evolving scope and reach of its mission, the IT Resource Center becomes Lumity (illuminate + community), with a focus on supporting high performing nonprofits.
2006: An expansion of mission to include services and staff of the former Nonprofit Financial Center. Client services and impact dramatically increase with the synergy of information technology and financial management organizational tools.
2002: The Community Technology Center Accelerator launches, a digital inclusion program to establish centers of digital excellence directly in Chicago’s underserved communities, helping to bridge the Digital Divide.
2001: The organization moves to its current 29 E. Madison, Suite 1005 address; debuts its mobile laptop lab.
1999: The ITRC wards off the millennial collapse of civilization with its Y2K Project, helping nonprofits to take steps to avoid problems from the "Y2K Bug."
1995: The ITRC launches its own website and www.NPO.net, which grows to become Chicago's premier job posting and resource site for nonprofits.
1991: The launch of the CompuMentor/Chicago volunteer matching program for members.
1988: The organization becomes and independent nonprofit and moves to the Chicago Loop.
1984: The Information Technology Resource Center (ITRC) opens its doors in June, housed in Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry.
