Kara Kennedy, Executive Director

Kara Kennedy joined the Lumity team as Executive Director in August 2009. She brings 20 years of nonprofit experience predominately in health and voluntary health organizations. Kara is a highly versatile professional with expertise in health care, fundraising, program development and management, strategic planning, organizational development, and ethnic and cultural diversity.

Julie Henderson - Director, Administration

Julie Henderson is responsible for office operations, facilities, and human resources. This includes ensuring the office runs smoothly; overseeing facilities management - leases, insurance, assets tracking; and ensuring that the staff and contractors are screened, trained, engaged and monitored according to Lumity standards and current laws.

Don Kotek, Director, Lumity IT Solutions

Don has spent over 20 years delivering success in IT solution consulting. He has an outstanding technology and engineering background, and a demonstrated ability to establish and deliver strategy, structure, processes, and resource teams focused on the delivery of business and technology solutions. Don has a long list of Fortune 500 clients and a proven track record of applying new technologies to provide maximum impact for his clients.

Maggie McCoy - Director, Consulting Services

Maggie brings more than 30 years of financial management experience to Lumity’s Financial Consulting practice. She has worked with nonprofit and for-profit entities; with staff, management and boards of directors; and on issues from desk-level accounting and financial planning to board-level strategic questions. She has been an independent consultant for the past 6 years after a career in larger organizations, and serves as a director in several local nonprofits.

Lahesha Williams - Director, Centers of Excellence Program

Lahesha manages the Center of Excellence program resources and services, including the workforce development services it provides to partner nonprofits. Her skills include system administration and application development.  Lahesha brings experience from on-site partner work and the for-profit world to Lumity.
