All memberships now cost $225 per year regardless of organizational budget size. In this way the value of membership remains high and the actual cost very low. The only difference is Lumity is not providing “Service Credits” with membership. Membership Benefits beginning January 1, 2008 are:
Vouchers need not be tracked by you and will be automatically applied when your staff completes training classes at Lumity. Lumity will do all the work to assure that you and your staff receive the training that is included as part of your membership.

What has changed? When will the changes take effect?
Lumity no longer offers the sale of “Service Credits” as of January 1, 2008. Members with existing credits will not lose anything (See “What about the credits I have? Below). Additionally, the cost of membership is now $225 for all members; this was previously our lowest cost option.
Who is impacted by this change?
All Lumity members are affected in that Lumity will not be selling “Service Credits.”
Why eliminate Service Credits?
Lumity has talked to members just like you and found that many find Service Credits confusing and difficult to manage. As a result many members don’t receive the full value from the credit system because “spending credits” do not fit into member systems and processes. In other words, the true cost and thus the true value of member Service Credits is often difficult to calculate and the processes around “spending” service credits difficult to manage.
Lumity is uplifting our approach to teaming with members on projects such as financial consulting, outsourced training, or technical consulting. The new approach is project based with improved documentation of expected outcomes and impact. The cost of the project is best expressed in dollars rather than service credits. Because Lumity will be engaging members on a dollar for service basis like any other business, the process is much easier to understand and manage with traditional systems.
What about the credits I have? I just renewed!
Members with existing credits can use them exactly as they have in the past. These credits as before can be applied to any of Lumity’s services. Members will have a minimum of twelve months to utilize their existing credit balances.
I like Service Credits because I can pre-pay for services. What can I do now?
Lumity will still accept pre-payment for services and will provide discounts for pre-payment. Pre-payment will be arranged on a per-project or per-service basis to allow for more appropriate pricing based on individual circumstances and timing.
I wanted to buy Service Credits to get a discount on a large planned project. Won’t Lumity services cost more now?
The difference is that now Lumity and the member will agree to a price and scope of work before beginning the project. Discounts will be managed on a per project basis so that the value and cost of a project can be easily understood by you and Lumity.
Why not use Service Credits?
Many members found Service Credits confusing and while many used credits effectively, some members never used their credits or found themselves simply “spending” them to lower the number of credits in their account.
