Community Centers of Excellence

The Community Centers of Excellence Program works to provide workforce development, youth services, and digital inclusion services to Chicago nonprofits. The program includes a special, collaborative partnership between Lumity and nineteen nonprofits selected to receive technical support, and special services for their new or existing community technology centers (CTCs).

This effort fills an important gap in planning, training and networking technology centers specifically designed to enhance nonprofit missions.  Through the Centers of Excellence Program, Lumity provides a centralized resource to assist nonprofits to offer technology access and training to underserved community residents.  Use of these tools and methods accelerates the development and implementation of innovative responses to the basic human needs and economic self-sufficiency issues these organizations address

Lumity provides best-practice models, the Standards of Excellence program, and Internet and Core Computing (IC3) Certification as part of its program.
