2010 Technology Leadership Award Guidelines The Lumity Technology Leadership Award, presented by Accenture, recognizes innovative uses of technology in the nonprofit sector. Projects exemplify the ways in which creative application of technology produces measurable, sustainable impact in the community.
The deadline for submissions is January 29, 2010. Visit www.lumity.org for the link to the online grant application. Final candidates will be asked to make a presentation to the judges in February. The Nonprofit Technology Leadership Award will be presented to the winner at the Lumity Annual Fundraising Dinner in March 2010 (date being finalized).

Lumity created the Technology Leadership Award, to recognize and encourage nonprofits’ use of technology to advance their missions. Since 2006 Lumity has celebrated organizations of a variety of sizes and missions for creatively adopting technology to improve the ways they help our communities. Previous winners are:
2006 - Illinois Legal Aid
Launched a new website, www.IllinoisLegalAid.org which delivers comprehensive legal information, self help resources, and referrals to free and low-cost legal services for Illinois residents who cannot afford an Attorney
2007 - America's Second Harvest
Implemented the Choice System (CS), a web-based tool, which allows Members to bid on specific product donations they wish to acquire and distribute to their community agencies
2008 - Chicago Foundation for Education
Created a web-based lesson plan database, which supports teachers through an easy-to-search database of ready-made curricular projects
2009 – Positive Parenting DuPage
Developed a website with a variety of information to provide support and education for parents of young children and professionals working with families in DuPage

The two runner-up finalists will also receive a cash grant in the amount of $1,250 from Accenture, a Lumity membership, and recognition on Lumity’s website.
The Lumity Technology Leadership Award, presented by Accenture, is open to Chicago-area nonprofits that meet the following qualifications:
Any 501(c)(3) charitable organization except: churches, organizations whose primary mission is to promote a religion; public schools, private schools, colleges, or universities; nonprofit hospitals, assisted living healthcare organizations, or cooperative hospital service organizations; and governmental units
Headquartered in the following locations:
Only one application per organization will be considered.
